KBN - Kawasan Berikat Nusantara

PT Kawasan Berikat Nusantara (Persero) is an industrial estate management company headquartered in Cilincing, North Jakarta. The company's shares are owned by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. PT. Nusantara Bonded Zone (Persero) was established based on PP No. 23 of 1986 which was the result of a merger between PT Bonded Warehouse Indonesia and PT Sasana Bhanda. PT. Kawasan Berikat Nusantara (Persero) headquarter is in Cakung, North Jakarta with the total area of 176,7 hectares (1.767,000 m2) that is very close to Tanjung Priok Port (approximately 13 km), a very strategic location and easy to access that can support export and import delivery as well as product distribution inwards or outwards Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. PT. Kawasan Berikat Nusantara (Persero) branch office is in Marunda and Tanjung Priok with the total area of Marunda 413 hectares (4.130.000 m2) and Tanjung Priuk 8 hectares (8000 m2).
The business of PT. KBN is to manage industrial zones, both of the bonded zone status (export processing zone) and the non-bonded zone status (non-export processing zone). The bonded zone means a certain territory in the customs area of Indonesia, which in one of the supporting infrastructures for economic development by the use of the site to promote export-oriented industrial processing, granted special incentive, namely the exemption of import duty and levies from other countries. Another facility which given by the government to investor at KBN is 50% of the production outcome can be marketed domestically and foreign investor can have a 100% stock.
